Another reminder that common sense should accompany medical innovation

Call it the acorn and the oak tree, the bud and the flower or the tree and the jungle.  In each case as medicine advances with innovative hardware, procedures and medicine what may be good for the small sample of the people in the study showing benefit may not be good for “everyone”.  Time, patience and f/u studies should be considered before we just assume newer is better.  Take the story of the metal on metal artificial hip in the link below…
