This article reminds us that the use of hscrp and coronary artery calcium to determine if someone at “intermediate” cardiac risk should be more accurately classified as high or low risk based on these additional markers is warranted. This is important because finding higher risk lends more credence to the use of preventative statins and aspirin for cardiac risk reduction.
