Stem-cell pioneers from Britain, Japan win medical Nobel Prize – thestar.com.

The Nobel prize in medicine went to these 2 scientists for their work in inducing pluripotency in mature cells.  What this means is that stem cells can be “made” from certain normal adult cells and do not have to be taken from embryos in order to do research.  For more information search “stem cells” on this blog site.
