Proverbs 8; Wisdom commends itself

After a brief introduction, Solomon places wisdom in the first person.  “She” then speaks as an enlightened “I” about the benefits of seeking and applying “her”.  What are these benefits,  Surprisingly the first one is that it is not hidden.  Rather than being locked away in dusty books or academic ivory towers, she shouts to all those willing or needing to be exhorted to listen.  This is a remarkable reminder that God’s word in Scripture is so near to us and so full of said wisdom.  Verses 32-35 especially promise blessings to those who keep, heed, do not neglect, listen, watch and find “her”.
