Proverbs 10:1-5; A promise and principles in labor

Work is big part of our lives and one’s approach and attitude to it can make a huge difference in its effect on our lives.  First the promise…In verse 3, Solomon reminds us that “the Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger”.  The “righteous” simply means those who follow and trust God.  Those people will not have misplaced their trust.  Second the principles…whereas “ill gotten gains, a negligent hand and sleeping during harvest” preclude gaining profit, the “righteous, diligent gatherer is delivered from death and is made rich”.  The latter is not an easy path but becomes the rewarding path.
