The benefits of low and high intensity exercise…

In this Annals article, both low intensity (180-300 Calories expended per session, about 15-20 minute firm walk) and high intensity (360-600 Calories expended per session, about 15-20 minute jog/run) exercise done 5 days a week showed the ability to reduce abdominal obesity equally. In addition, high intensity exercise also reduced 2 hour post exercise glucose levels. This reinforces the importance of regular exercise, building up to these goals in a graduated fashion.
